I’ve got a lot of respect for golf photographers after shooting today at the WGC Accenture event. Lugging a 400mm 11 lb. lens on a monopod while carrying another camera and various equipment through the desert will do that for you.

Tiger Woods won his first round today, hopefully Tucson may bring him his first win in a while. We’re rooting for him.

Tiger was a bit under the weather today...

Gym World Northwest Team Portraits

We shot the Gym World Northwest Team Portraits yesterday. It inspires me to be around motivated kids, that is motivated to get up and move. I shot over 1200 portrait images, so my work is cut out for me this week. But I thought I’d post a few for the team…more to come and the entire gallery will be on my website by the end of the week.

Basis Tucson Talent Show

Basis Tucson had their annual Talent Show last night and I photographed one of the shows. I really enjoy the atmosphere of a kids talent show…the energy, the anticipation and finally getting out there and performing. The acts were wonderful, here are a few of my favorite shots. New Year’s Eve with Shelby and Devin…

All I can say is, whew. Yesterday, I had the honor of photographing Shelby and Devin’s wedding at the Tucson National Omni. And I must say I’m quite proud of the results (pun intended). We got started about 1 p.m. and welcomed in the new year 11 hours later. Here are a couple of my favorites, the full wedding will posted on my website in a week.

What we like to remember during the holiday season is this. It’s all about family. As the kids grow older and joys and challenges come and go, we remember that our connections to our family members will always be there.

The Urbanskis came by today for some family shots and it was like getting a Christmas present early. Their closeness reminded me of what this season should be all about.

Tucson Girls Chorus Photos

You can tell when my daughter’s up in the morning, because that’s the moment she starts singing. And I mean, she doesn’t just sing, she belts the tunes out. So, we feel particularly blessed that there’s an additional audience and venue for her music, besides us. The Tucson Girls Chorus is filled with girls who have music bubbling out of them, just like my little girl.

Twice a year, TGC has a concert to showcase the talent, and I mean it is a showcase. I get play “fly on the wall” and photograph the behind the scenes preparation and the concert and I wouldn’t miss it for the world. This year’s Winter Concert was at Catalina Foothills High School in Tucson. Here are a few of the photos I took of the kids.

Devin and Shelby

I photographed Devin and Shelby last week at the beautiful Omni Resort in Tucson. It was a beautiful afternoon and with the gorgeous grounds of the Omni serving as a backdrop, it wasn’t tough to create some great images. Communication is key to relationships and photography. These two were so in tuned with each other, there was little I needed to say. My intuition tells me their wedding will be one for the ages.

They certainly have picked a memorable day to have the ceremony. We will all be at the Omni on New Year’s Eve to welcome in 2012 with perhaps the newest married couple in Arizona!

Basis Tucson Rhythm Project

Last night, I went to see an amazing group of kids from Basis Tucson. What an event! A frenetic-paced performance filled with energy and an eclectic selection of music. If you looked in the dictionary under, “You really had to see it”, you’d see a picture the kids I’m sure. Matter of fact, if you’d like to see my photos from the performance, they’re here.
